GURUDWARA PAONTA SAHIB:

The holy city of Paonta Sahib is situated on the bank of river Yamuna in Himachal Pardesh. This city , inhabited by Kalgidhar Patshah Guru Gobind Singh Ji eternalizes many significant events of our history. This is the only city in the soil the keystone of which was laid down by Guru Gobind Singh himself with his own holy hands.It is on this very place Guru Ji fought the first battle of Bhangani against the neighbouring rajas of Bai-Dhar. Guru  ji visited many places in the nearby locations & on reaching the present place where the city of Paonta is now situated on the bank of river Yamuna, Guru immensely liked the natural surroundings & made up his mind to stay here. Here Guru got built o fort for his residential  purpose. Bhai Santokh singh writes that the Guru founded a city & named it Paonta , a site to keep the fet on.
